The Tobacco study is being generously funded by the Virginia Tobacco Indemnification and Community Revitalization Commission (TIRC) and VCU’s Massey Cancer Center (MCC). The study’s sample is being recruited from the city of Emporia and surrounding counties and the town of Farmville and surrounding counties. The study’s online survey is administered in a group setting and facilitated by trained research personnel. Participants are compensated for their time when they attend one of the group sessions.
